Ah, Chloé’s stylish and ultra feminine vision for Autumn Winter sticks true to the brand’s bohemian identity and to the very aesthetic and romantic appeal of Paris.
Paris Fashion Week for me is the most anticipated of all, but that may be because I am such a Francophile. The culture, the food, the romanticised Paris of movies (especially Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris)
The Chloé Girl:
70’s Hippie Chic, Bohemian Goddess, Etherial Parisian Nymph are all very true description of Autumn Winter’s Chloé girl. She wears contrasting leathers (inspired by Anne-France Dautheville a French female motorcyclist who journeyed around the world in the 70’s, how cool!) and lacy frills of all different shades. She slings on baggy jumpers over pastel coloured romantic ankle length skirts (Look 31 & Look 43). She effortlessly wears modern Folklore and Fairy Talesque patterns and when the cold blustery Parisian Winter days come she’ll wrap up in a gorgeous fur coat (fingers crossed it’s Faux). Clare Waight Keller, you have made a truly magical AW collection and I want it all!!
My Favourite Look:
This one appears at the very beginning of the show, well she’s look 2. The Model is stunning and has a really cool dark shaggy shoulder length cut, major hair goals (I even have a Pinterest Board dedicated to my incurable case of Hair Envy). The dress itself is absolutely divine, the movement in the fabric as the model sashays is positively ethereal a gift from Morpheus the god of dreams. The detail of the dress is so pretty with intricate multicoloured feather like accents on the front and a pair of tonal brown and camel ruffles that give a nice texture to the back of the dress. Basically, I need this romantic dress in my wardrobe right now and although it’s soon to be Spring/Summer season this dress feels like you could wear it all year round and team it up with this stunning and cosy looking brown fur coat when the weather gets a little chilly.
Let me know what you thought of Chloé’s stunning collection, and what outfit you are now dreaming of.
