There’s probably a few things, I think that’s human nature. But don’t fall into the trap of looking back at your life and realising you have let it slip past. It’s easy to get comfortable and settle rather than push ourselves to achieve greatness.
Growing up doesn’t not mean you have to stop dreaming. Dreaming is not exclusive to children and teenagers. Dreaming is what makes things happen. It is important to set goals and to reach for them regardless of their size.
You will have doubters. You will have good days and bad days. But ultimately you need to decide if you are happy with staying as you are now for the rest of your life. Imagine in ten years time you are still in the same place, same job, same relationship and same friends. If you are happy with all of those parts of your life then congratulations. But if one of those makes your heart sink even just a little then do something now.
Dreaming is growing. Don’t be afraid to grow. Forget the people who say you can’t do it – they are only telling you that because they lack the strength to persue change. They are scared of failure. And the truth is failure can be frightening, it can make you feel down and small but that’s part of the journey.
Failure is something you can overcome and learn from. You need to or else you’ll take the easy option and settle. Settling won’t make you happy in the long run. You have to pick your yourself up and try again and again and again. If it were easy everyone would be successful. Not everyone is successful and that’s because many people settle when it gets tough.
Dream big, persue with all your might and never settle for anything less than you deserve.
